HOW I LEARNED TO ACCEPT MY ECZEMA

I’ve had eczema since I was young. It started off as just dry hands then has progressively gotten worse due to stress. Luckily it hasn’t been consistent, but has spread to different areas of the body. I started to take it more seriously when it spread to my face, an area I couldn’t often hide. I was horrified, I thought people where always looking at me.

ULTIMATELY THERE ISN’T A REAL CURE – SO WHY LET IT BRING YOU DOWN?

OVERTIME I’M STARTING TO EMBRACE THE FACT THAT IT IS WHAT IT IS AND EVERYDAY THROWS UP DIFFERENT CHALLENGES TO OVERCOME.

But my skin has definitely improved, especially on days when the flare up is minimal – it makes the hours spent moisturising and resisting the urge to itch worth it.
