The Cetraben range has been specifically developed to enable effective management of eczema and problematic, dry skin
The Cetraben Emollient Bath Additive, together with Cetraben Cream, Lotion and Ointment provide complete emollient therapy (CET) to help stop the progression of eczema, by re-hydrating the skin and protecting it from irritants; relieving discomfort and reducing the need to scratch.
Most emollients use paraffin to replace the natural oil that is lost within the skin. Cetraben has high liquid paraffin levels that provide a protective layer over the skin to trap in moisture.
Cetraben Cream and Lotion include light liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and glycerin. Light liquid paraffin is the softest chained paraffin molecule, meaning the cream can soak into the skin quickly. White soft paraffin is added to provide balance to the formulation and replace natural oils.
Both Cetraben Cream and Lotion are SLS free (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) and Paraben free.
Glycerin is added as an humectant to attract water to the top layer of skin resulting in further skin hydration.
Cetraben Emollient Bath Additive is a simple formulation with just three ingredients. It is fragrance, lanolin and preservative free, and disperses easily in bath water.
Cetraben Ointment is a 3-in-1 emollient, skin cleanser and bath additive suitable for more severe dry skin and eczema conditions. Especially for when higher levels of hydration are needed than creams and lotions can provide.
Cetraben leaves the skin soft, without it feeling sticky or greasy.
Cetraben emollients should be applied as liberally and frequently as possible. They are best applied when the skin is moist but they can and should be applied at other times. Ideally emollients should be applied every 4 hours or at least 3 to 4 times per day.
